What do you usually snack on? 

For me, it's whatever is quick, easy or portable. If I haven't time to make anything, that might mean a nut bar from the jar in the pantry or a yogurt grabbed from the grocery store - but usually you'll find at least one container of bliss balls in my fridge created just for snacking.

They're quick and easy to make and eat, can be taken just about anywhere and last for weeks in the fridge. Better still? They're packed full of nutrients to keep you going.

And I mean, when a recipe can be both healthy and include chocolate, what's not to love?!

These Raw Brownie Bliss Balls taste seriously decadent, but are full of good for you ingredients and no added sugar. 

All you need is 5 ingredients; dates, cashews, pecans (or walnuts), cocoa powder and a handful of chocolate chips.

Raw Brownie Bliss Balls Recipe (Paleo & Vegan)

A healthy snack that tastes decadent but is packed full of nutrition? This Raw Brownie Bliss Balls Recipe is gluten free, vegan, paleo, grain free, refined sugar free and so easy to make. 5 Ingredients are all you'll need!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (175g) pitted dates
  • 3/4 cup (100g) cashews
  • 1/4 cup (35g) pecans or walnuts
  • 2 tbsp (15g) cocoa powder*
  • A small handful of chocolate chips*

Instructions

  1. Add all of your ingredients, except the chocolate chips, to a food processor and process until your mix resembles coarse sand.
  2. The mix should pinch together and hold shape. If not, add a few drops of water and continue processing until the mix comes together.
  3. Once your mix is processed, add your chocolate chips and "knead" the mix together with your hands to form a single ball.
  4. Take tablespoon sized pieces of the dough and roll into balls.
  5. Continue until all of your mix is used up.
  6. Enjoy immediately, store in the fridge for ~1 month or freeze to store for longer.

Notes:

*To make these paleo, swap cocoa powder for cacao powder and exclude the choc chips. To make these vegan friendly, use vegan chocolate chips.
