It's no secret that I love chocolate.
When I found out there was a chocolate shop opening literally 5 minutes from our house, I told Jesse that this year we would not infact be buying a house, but I would infact be the size of a house because I have no self control when it comes to chocolate.
...especially when I found out said chocolate shop has gluten free chocolate...
When it comes to choosing what dessert to make to share with friends or family, I will almost always choose a chocolate option.
And if I choose a non-chocolate option, you can be I'm actually bringing two desserts because I couldn't stop myself from making the chocolate dessert too.
That's exactly what happened when I came up with this brownie recipe.

How to cook Peanut Butter Swirled Chocolate Fudge Brownies Recipe
- Preheat your oven to 180C/355F.
- Line an 8x8" brownie pan with baking paper and set aside.
- Melt your butter and chocolate either in the microwave (in 30 second intervals) or on the stove using the double boiler method (see notes).
- Once your chocolate is melted, set it aside while you prepare your other ingredients.
- Sift your flour and cocoa powder into your mixing bowl and add your sugar and egg.
- Stir through your melted chocolate, mixing until just combined.
- Pour your brownie mix into your prepared pan and dollop on your peanut butter, swirling the peanut butter with a knife (NOTE: If your peanut butter is super thick, try heating it over a low heat to help swirl it on your brownies).
- Bake your brownies for 35-40 minutes or until cooked through and a skewer inserted into the middle removes clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing and serving.
- These brownies will keep for 2-3 days in an airtight container in the fridge and can also be frozen to defrost and eat later.
NOTES:
Double Boiler Method: Place a small saucepan on the stove with about 1" of water in the bottom. Place a heatproof bowl on top, ensuring the water does not touch the bowl. Place your butter and chocolate inside the bowl and melt over a medium heat until smooth and completely melted.
But tell me,
What's your dessert weakness?
