We are just one week away from our Disneyland trip, so we've been busily setting things aside to pack in our bags, confirming reservations, organising airport transfers and working out what we're going to pack.
And with a 14 hour plane trip ahead of us, I've been organising what I'm bringing with us on the plane. Because our post 10 Travel Products That Are Worth Buying is one of the most popular posts on the blog right now, I thought I'd put together an updated version with what I'm packing for this trip.
This guide has a bit of a focus on sleep because, like most travelers, I always struggle to get sleep on a long haul flight. With us traveling internationally every year, and oven travelling 26+ hours to visit family in the US, I've tried so many different travel products and have come up with a list of my favourites - as well as some travel products to help you sleep on a flight!

1: A Reusable Water BottleI only drink water on a plane (trust me on this one, the free alcohol and sodas might be appealing, but you'll feel so much better if you skip them) so a huge reusable water bottle is a MUST.In my opinion, the bigger the better - and since I know people tend to be divided on whether they love or hate stainless steel water bottles, I've got two options for you.
Project PARGO's water bottles and travel mugs are my personal fave because they keep cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot for hours. Better still, these water bottles give back as every purchase helps to provide clean drinking water for people in need.
If Stainless Steel bottles aren't your thing, LifeFactory make gorgeous BPA free glass water bottles in three sizes (12 oz, 16 oz and 22 oz) that are perfect for travelling or regular home/work use. Now, you might be wondering; can I bring a glass water bottle on a plane? The answer is yes! But it does have to be empty when you go through security (as does any water bottle or container).
Because you can't take liquids through airport security, I bring my water bottle empty to the airport and fill it once I'm through security. Most airports have free filtered water taps so you can fill your water bottles once you're in the departure terminal.
2: A Weighted Eye Mask and Lap Pad I am obsessed with my weighted blanket. I am the worst sleeper normally (and have restless leg syndrome), but since I started sleeping with a weighted blanket I am actually sleeping well, for once in my life. (I'm actually planning a post about that soon because so many people have asked me about it!).Obviously I can't bring my 7kg weighted blanket on an airplane - but I have the next best solution.
Neptune Blankets' Weighted Eye Mask and Weighted Lap Pad are perfect for traveling. The weighted eye mask is seriously the most relaxing thing in the world. It also completely blocks out the light so you're not disturbed when someone near you opens the window or switches on the overhead reading light.
The lap pad weighs just 2kg and folds up into a super convenient carry bag so it doesn't take up too much room in your bag. It's the perfect size to put on your lap or shoulders, giving you all of the calming compression benefits of a weighted blanket in a compact form.
I also have plenty of friends who use these lap pads at home, whether it's for managing stress at the office (the calming pressure is said to improve concentration and focus), calming an anxious child or for helping someone with sensory processing issues.
But just take it from me, these two things may be my most favourite travel products of all time.
3: Essential Oils I love my essential oils and use them daily - so when I travel, I bring them too! I have a small oil pouch that stays in my handbag constantly, and when I travel it comes along for the ride too.Natio have a range of essential oil blends who are perfect for people who have never used oils before or who have used them for years.
Because they're a blend, they're a specially created blend of oils designed to work for a certain purpose. The Focus range includes sleep, stress, breathing, tension and defence blends. For travel, my must-haves are the sleep and stress and I take them with me in a roll-on to easily use during my travels.
If you're a bit of an oil addict like me, the other oils I travel with are: ginger (I use it for nausea by rolling a tiny dot on the inside of my ears - trust me, it works), mint (I use it for headaches/general use), an energy blend and protect (I use this DAILY on the bottoms of my feet for an immune boost and only seem to get sick when I stop using it).

I will do anything to avoid getting sick before a trip, so Flo is a must-pack for me!

I do not have great skin. I am constantly dealing with breakouts and dry skin and all of the normal annoying stuff no one likes to talk about.
Traveling on long haul flights only seems to make that worse - so I always make sure to take skincare products with me.
For breakouts, I take Natio's Gentle Skin Toner and Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser (both included in their Aromatherapy Travel Essentials Pack).
Another breakout secret is Subi's perfect pimple patch - and they're perfect for long haul flights. They're clear and super thin so no one will even know you're wearing them. Simply a patch over any blemish you might have at the start of a flight (I do this after toning my skin and don't put moisturizer on that spot), leave it on for the remainder of the flight and remove it at the end. Now, this is a tricky one because I feel like it has literally taken me my entire life to find the perfect travel pillow.
I've tried neck pillows, memory foam pillows, hooded pillows, inflatable pillows, side pillows, pillows with straps - the list goes on and on but it's felt like every time I travel, I throw the fail travel pillow straight in the goodwill pile and have to find something new for my next flight - but now I have found THE BEST travel pillow.

Like most travellers, we travel with a bunch of electronic devices... and when you're travelling on a long haul flight, those devices just don't last.
My iPhone battery life is shocking, so a portable charger is a must pack for me when I travel - both for the plane and during the day when I'm busy exploring.
Belkin's BOOST↑CHARGE™ Power Bank is the perfect travel charger because it charges your phone and the power bank with a single cable (whilst most power banks require a separate charging cable).
