Helloooo, friend!
I am STUPIDLY happy today because it feels like SPRING! Yesssss, the weather forecast does say that after the glorious sunshine we'll have today, it will rain and it will be really freaking cold for the rest of the weekend and much of the week ahead... but I'm choosing to live in the moment and pretend like Spring is 1000000% here and I don't actually need a tropical holiday to escape it 😜
But let's leave the weather talk to old people,
Let me catch you up on our week! >>
Recently Feeling Like: ^^^ That guy. For real.
I spent about 98.9% of the last week coughing. Luckily by Wednesday I was feeling a lot better and stopped having coughing fits, but I coughed my way through most of the week.
I should probably have abs after how much I coughed - but alas, all I got out of it was sore muscles 😜
Recently Realising: Chanel will do anything for a towel. She's a towel thief and a towel fiend all wrapped into one.
It doesn't matter if it's a full sized towel, a tea towel, a face washer or even a scrap of a towel - Chanel will find it and will find a way to sit on it/lay her head on it 😝
I don't really know why... but I do vaguely remember when we first got her, we had towels in her bed - so maybe that's where the obsession came from.
Recently Making: ALLL the Cricut things. Constantly 😝
My poor machine is literally going to die soon.
I finally personalised my own water bottle this week - and then made a bunch of gifts for my Dad for Father's Day that I can now show you (since I've given them to him!)
Dad always complains that I have jars for my tea and he doesn't have any for his, so for Father's Day I made him his own set 😝
I also made him a custom Thunderbirds inspired t-shirt and a bottle opener - but for some reason I didn't take a photo of either of those!
Tonight I'm making my sister a t-shirt and another DND shirt for Jesse before his next session (because even though he keeps telling me no more shirts, I'm having fun designing them)
Recently Reading: ALLL the books! I've just finished my 82nd book of the year!
Here's what I've been reading.
- Going Under by Sonia Henry- LOVED. Couldn't put it down.
- Paris and Other Disappointments by Adam Rozenbachs - Four stars. Quirky, funny and a quick read.
- The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell- Four stars. It was pushed as a thriller, but whilst I loved it, it definitely wasn't a thriller. More of a mystery with a bit of romance.
- Matters of the Heart by Fiona Palmer - LOVED. A lovely rural romance with so many interesting twists. Couldn't put it down.
Recently Posting: This DEEELICIOUS Gluten Free Chocolate Coconut Slice Recipe which you need to make ASAP! So many people have already told me they've made it and loved it - and I'm not surprised because we are obsessed! So so good!
But tell me,
How's your week been?
And what's the best book you've read lately?
