Hellooo! Happy Friday!
This week has been one of those weeks where one bad thing after the other has occurred - so the week has flown by in a flurry of chaos. None involving me - but almost every single other family has had something happen.
Jesse's hobbling around in a moon boot, the flu has come back again, a huge tree branch fell on our roof which pulled the power lines - the list goes on and on.
BUT, the weekend is here and I am seriously hoping this weekend and next week is a trillion times better.
So let me catch you up on what's been happening! >>
Recent Accessories: Jesse has been walking around with one of these giant things for the last week after injuring his ankle. He hobbled around for a week before finally deciding to go and see a physio - and there they told him he needs to keep off it completely and not drive/walk up stairs/go to fitness training etc... sooooooooo, the boot happened.
Luckily it's just a soft tissue injury and not a fracture/break, but hopefully it's heeled soon so he can walk and do things normally! For now it's just lots of rest, ice and voltaren gel 😛
Recently Loving: Trixie's insane jealousy, because it means more puppy snuggles 😛
Trixie will always jump up on my reading chair to sit with me while I read a book or work on my laptop and she's usually pretty content because Chanel won't jump up herself... but if I put Chanel on the chair with us, Trixie gets jealous and decides she needs to be as close to me as possible so that Chanel can't be - so she'll lay across my chest, put herself on my shoulder or do whatever she can to make sure Chanel is further away from me than she is.
Trixie totally thinks she's the alpha dog - but Chanel is really the boss.
Recently Eating: Homemade Caramel Slice! I've decided to go through my very first cookbooks from when I first started making my own recipes to recreate some classics - and caramel slice was the first one.
These recipes won't be healthy ones, but they will be delicious - and I'll have to share this recipe next week.

Recently Feeling: Pretty blah about winter - like sleepy miss Chanel here.
I hate winter and for the first time since we've been married, we don't have a vacation planned for this year (because house buying is $$$ and a priority over holidays, unfortunately...) and I'm totally bummed because I don't have any escape from winter.
I was thinking about planning a short interstate trip (since we usually travel overseas and have never actually gone anywhere else in Australia together), butttttttttttttt the weather is still pretty 👎 and I really just want to go to Hawaii for all the sun, beach time and shopping.
What's a girl to do!
Recently Woken To: A huge crash yesterday morning. I was fast asleep when I heard this awful crash and quickly rushed to look out the window to see what it was.
A dead tree limb had fallen off the tree, scraped down the roof and then dragged the power lines down with it - so the day started with calling Energy Australia to come and fix it. That photo was actually after the guy had broken up the tree limb so that's only one little section of it.
Luckily the Energy Australia guys came really quickly and had it sorted within an hour and the power line was actually still connected to the house so we never lost power.
Recently Opening: Allll the packages, with the help of my package inspector 😛
