Hellooooo! Happy Friday and Happy February!
I know lots of people have been saying January felt like it dragged on for-ev-er, but January actually has to be one of my favourite months of the year (first fave has to be December though because Christmas = love) so I'm not sad about it!
But that said, I've got to catch you up on the last week of January!
Here's what's been happening in our world this week! >>
Recently Eating: ALLLLLLL the dessert platters. The above one I remade for Australia Day with homemade gluten free lamingtons, chocolate coconut crunch bliss balls and homemade gluten free honey jumble biscuits.
And then on Monday we went to a friends house for a barbecue so I made a healthy dessert platter as 3 of our friends are paleo. Obviously chocolate isn't paleo (but chocolate is essential) but the three bliss ball varieties were! I made my Raw Mint Chocolate Bliss Balls Recipe (minus the chocolate chips and with cacao powder instead of cocoa), Salted Caramel Bliss Balls Recipe and Cinnamon Donut Bliss Balls Recipe. So so good!
I also made a quinoa salad with roasted vegetables and my Vegan Cheese Sauce which will never not be a favourite of ours. SO GOOD!
Recently Clearing Up: This rumour that I've seen circulating the internet. Talk about #FalseNews 😛
Here's a little Disney lesson for you. Clarabelle (see above) is a cow. Goofy is a hound dog.
And yes, I take my Disney characters veeeeerrryyyy seriously.
Recently Snuggling: ALLLL THE PUPPIES! During the day Chanel generally keeps to herself (read: sleeps under our bed or squished up in a corner by herself) but at night she's always happy to snuggle!
Trixie, on the other hand, will happily snuggle all day and night - but only with me. Jesse constantly tries to force her to snuggle him but 9/10 she just sees him as someone to throw her ball 😜
Speaking of balls... earlier this week we couldn't find Trixie for a few minutes and then heard a noise under Jesse's chair and when I had a peek under the chair I saw her squished under there with her ball. I'm guessing the orange ball was under there and she spotted it and thought she could squish her butt under there.
And squish she did! We actually thought she was stuck under there because she didn't move until someone rang the doorbell - then she squeezed herself out and came running!
Recently Reading: ALLLL the books! I absolutely LOVED Between Us by Clare Atkins and think it should be a must read for all Australian high school students. I also read Luckiest Girl Alive which was a bit so-so (the end was much better than the beginning) and The Last Days of the Romanov Dancers which was so brilliantly written and made me want to buy tickets to the ballet!
Recently Posting: Two posts this week! I shared this deeeeelicious Gluten Free and Vegan Cocoa Roasted Almonds Recipe as well as this DIY Textured Concrete Photography Backdrop Tutorial.
But tell me,
How has your week been?
What's the best thing you've eaten this week?
And what's your favourite month of the year?
