Helloooo from the house of the sick and the injured! Poor Jesse is in bed sick with the flu and I feel like I've swapped bodies with a 90 year old after injuring my back earlier this week.
But luckily we fit in a whole heap of goodness before the week ended in disaster - so I have lots to catch you up on!
Here's what's been happening in our world recently >>
Recent Movies: We started our weekend with a trip to the movies with friends to see Deadpool 2!
Lots of people asked me if it was better than the first movie - and my answer? It's different.
Not bad different, just different to the first one. It was still really good (and funny!) though!
Recent Purchases: Speaking of movies, we just booked our tickets for the Sydney Film Festival! It starts in two weeks time - and if you're thinking of seeing the Vivid Lights - why not double up and see a movie too?!
This year we are going to see Don't Worry He Won't Get Far on Foot (starring Jack Black and Jonah Hill) at the State Theatre and an anime film, Mirai at the cinemas on George Street (so we can then go earlier to see the Vivid lights around Circular Quay).
Also on the short list this year (as I always pick a list and then Jesse chooses what we'll actually see) were; Puzzle, The Children Act, Juliet Naked and Three Identical Strangers.
Recently Enjoying: My reading nook. Always.
When I injured my back this week, I spent the day working from the laptop from my lounge as anytime I moved, I was in serious pain (luckily a trip to the physio alleviated that pain and I can now walk - it's just slowly and carefully for the moment).
The mug was a once off find from TK Maxx - but I found a few similar versions that are super cute here and here (I think I need to get this one because I need a tea version!).
Recently Reading: ALLLLL THE BOOKS! This week I've read Don't Believe It (LOVED! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐), Miss Ex Yugoslavia (so-so) and Mine (LOVED! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐).
Do yourself a favour and read those 5 star books ASAP!
Recently Watching: The Royal Wedding, duh.
I am SO GLAD we went to the movies that day with our friends because it meant we came home and had dinner and the boys played games whilst the girls watched The Royal Wedding. Jesse was so anti the wedding that he refused to watch it.
SO cute. Weddings make me so happy.. and make me want to get married all over again.
Recently Laughing At: This series of photos Jesse sent me whilst I was out working earlier this week.
The yawn.
"Stop, papparazzi. Leave me alone!"
She sits like this next to Jesse whenever he's at home on his computer (because his desk chair wasn't comfortable enough to play games in apparently so now he has the big red lounge chair) and she sits like a human, haha!
Is she really a human? Is she possessed by a human? Who knows! She certainly seems to believe that she is human.
Recently Looking For: A new laptop. This is the Surface 2 that the guy at the store almost convinced me to buy.... but I changed my mind.
You see, I was originally only getting a MacBook Pro (because I can customise it to have 1 terabyte storage/higher specs) but I was irritated that you coudn't double tap anywhere on the tracking bar and have it click - but my clever husband worked out that all you have to do is change the settings... so the MacBook Pro it is!
I am, however, majorly bummed that I can't get it in pink... but I already found a pink case because #pinkislife.
Recently Enjoying: Beautiful Autumn mornings that aren't too cold!
Recently Posting: Just one post this week (as I injured my back on Wednesday and that derailed my post plans) but it was a good one!
I think everyone should be making these 7 Easy Plastic Free Swaps to Make In Your Kitchen.
But tell me,
How has your week been?
What's something good from your week?
And what movie are you looking forward to seeing?
I am really looking forward to The Incredibles 2, Christopher Robin and Book Club and I want to see Life of the Party, I Feel Pretty and The Bookshop.
