Why hello there! Happy Friday!
This week has kind of dragged and kind of flown by all at the same time. It's been a seriously hectic week of work - but we've had some fun things to break it up so it hasn't been all bad!
But let's just say, I'm really looking forward to the weekend...
But before we get to that - let me catch you up on the week!
Here's what's been happening in our world recently! >>
Though I am planning on filling our house with all the cozy things to try and make myself feel better
Recent Frustration: Styling this corner of my desk. It just frustrates me and I can't work out what to do with it.
Well, I can work out what to do with it - but apparently it won't work. I wanted to put in corner shelves above the desk so I can put extra books and bits and pieces - but everyone has decided that's not a smart idea as they're worried the wall won't hold the weight (because, if you remember the disaster that the room was before, the wall underneath is pretty crappy).
SO then I thought maybe I could find a corner shelf unit (like the above one - that's from Mocka) and put it on top of the desk - but I don't know if that would look totally stupid.
So we'll see what I end up doing! I just feel like there's a lot of wasted space at the moment.
Recently Buying: More 2 player games! Whilst we have a heap of board games, we don't have that many 2 player games that work really well with two players and a bigger group - so I found two more that were super cheap on Amazon and look really good! Go Fish Yourself (an and Zeus on the Loose. I'll have to report back on what they're like!
Recently Reading: ALL THE BOOKS!
In the last week I read Thornwood House by Anna Romer (LOVED this book - seriously could not put it down), Motherload by Alison Nancye and Note to Self by Alison Nancye.
I'm also thinking of putting together a "Bookshelf" page on the blog where I share all of the books I've read. To keep things simple I thought maybe splitting them into "Loved It", "So-So", "Not a Fan" and "Must Read" sections - what do you think?
Recently Enjoying: A walk and tea with a friend in the middle of a busy week. I am SO lucky to have such beautiful friends in my life. A break from work and craziness was exactly what I needed and so so good!
Recently Posting: This week on the blog I shared my How to Make String Art Using Recycled Wood Tutorial as well as a deeelicious Vietnamese Inspired Meatballs Recipe.
But tell me,
How has your week been?
Any suggestions for what to do with my awkward corner?
And what's one thing you loved this week?
