Recent Things: Thankfulness and All The Oils

Hellooooo lovely one!

I'm writing to you with tissue in hand and diffuser rapidly misting ALL THE ESSENTIAL OILS right in front of me because it seems someone was kind enough to share their germs with me and I have the flu.

I'm the first one down in the house but I'm sure I won't be the last so the SIL house will probably be sniffly for a little while.

But nevertheless, I managed to fit a lot of good into the week so I have lots to share with you.
So here's what's been happening in our world recently! >>

Recent Makeovers: Our kitchen got a little makeover over the weekend. My Mum decided it was time to get rid of the old colour and repainted the kitchen.

I love it, she loves it, Jesse loves it. But my Dad? HATES it. We'll see if she changes it again...

Recently Loving: Working from home in my new office - with the puppers!

Trixie can usually be found at my feet or on the chaise.

Whilst Chanel can be found fast asleep on the chaise - on top of a blanket because she has a frustrating habit of sucking her foot and I don't want soggy patches on my new lounge 😝

Does anyone know how to stop dogs doing that? She's done it since she was a puppy. We used to think it might have been a nervous habit but she does it all day every day!

Recent Purchases: Christmas decorations! We went to TK Maxx on Sunday afternoon and found the cutest ceramic Christmas trees and signs - and then we went to Bed Bath 'n Table to pick up that sweet little nativity scene.

I swear I could live in a TK Maxx store. If anyone wants to buy me one so I can have ALL THE THINGS, that would be fab.

I also have some gorgeous Christmas ornaments that are a little more traditional for my office - but I'll have to show them to you once I put them up!

Recent Sneak Peeks: A little office sneak peek!

It's safe to say I'm obsessed with this wall. See that block set on the top left? That was a random procrastinating task I undertook earlier in the week on one of the sides of my DIY Holiday Decor Blocks...

And see my letter board?

When I first put it up, I didn't realise I'd put "Happiness comes when when when we stop...".

It was Friday. My brain was ready for a weekend 😝

Recently Needing: ALL THE COFFEE - and ALL the essential oils.

That Concentration Essential Oil roll on is pretty good - and a work day essential - but by the end of the week my diffuser was filled with flu-specific oils. Right now I've got equal parts peppermint, lemon and lavender in my diffuser and it's so lovely!

Recently Laughing At: Trixie, also known as the Queen of the Lounge. She perches herself on top of the lounge, watching everyone like she's the boss.

Recently Appreciating: The little things, like these random sprigs of pretty pink orchids that popped up in the park over the last few days.

Recently Cooking: ALL THE SOUTHERN FOODS. We celebrated Thanksgiving last night with some of our faves. My Vegan Green Bean Casserole Recipe, The Best Healthy Pumpkin Pie Recipe and so much good food!

Recently Sharing: This week I shared our gift guides for the year - the Men's and Women's Christmas Gift Guide and the Kids and Babies Christmas Gift Guide. Both are filled with awesome gift ideas that have all been tried and tested by us, our friends, our family and our favourite little ones.

I also shared this delicious Savory Paleo Pumpkin Bites Recipe which is like a bean-free/legume-free/baked falafel!

But tell me,
How has your week been?
Did you celebrate Thanksgiving? Or are you celebrating?
What's one holiday staple food for you? (It could be Christmas/Easter/New Years/Hanukkah/Eid etc)
