Well hey! It's Friday and I am so ready for the weekend because this week I have been totally snowed under (who am I kidding, I've been snowed under for weeks - but this week felt especially busy) and I am so ready for a little break!
That's why this week you saw two Hawaii posts instead of one post and a recipe - because there was absolutely zero time for making anything other than meals - and those were pretty boring too. Hopefully next week I can fit in some fun cooking time to share some recipes with you.
But first, let me catch you up on the week!

Recent Purchases: Remember how I was struggling to decide whether or not to go with the chaise lounge? We got it and Trixie is so glad we did!
It's super comfy and now I've just got to style it (once the rest of the office is finished!). For the moment I've got these pillows from Simply Cushions on it but I don't know if they're too bright for the rest of the room. It's really hard to tell when the room isn't completely finished yet!
I think I'm just going to buy a bunch of their pillowcases and set them aside so I can switch up the look as I switch up the decor. That pink cushion in the middle though? That's a velvet cushion cover that is SO soft I keep catching Trixie either snuggled into it or rubbing her face on it 😜
Recent Sneak Peeks: The office took a back seat this week as we finished our bedroom mini makeover - and I love love love love it! Those cushions are also from Simply Cushions and I am totally in love with the floral ones (the style is Maci on the site) and that's another one of the velvet cushions because they're so lush.
We also got that new lamp on the left which I LOVE and the bedside table is one that someone was selling locally that I then repainted, distressed and changed the handle on.
We also got A NEW MATTRESS! It's a Koala Mattress and I'm going to tell you all about it soon because it's seriously awesome. It came in a tiny little box and then once we got it out it expanded to full size and it's so comfy.

Don't worry - we took a video unboxing the mattress and I'm totally going to embarrass Jesse and share it with you because he was so excited hahaha.
I've also been buying ALL THE DECOR PIECES. These ones are from TK Maxx and I'm kind of in love. Those little elephants and the heart elephant carving are from Bali though - where the photo in the right frame was taken!
Recent Disappointment: I put all of my books in the bookshelf on the weekend and stood up feeling accomplished - only to find I had a pile of about 20 books remaining. FAIL! Now I just need to get another couple of extensions so I can add more books!
Recent Cuteness: The puppies snuggled up on the lounge. We got a new lounge this week and the dogs think it's the best thing ever because there's so much space.
Recent Life Motto: Pretty much. Sun = life.
Recent Laughs: We were trying to build Jesse's new desk yesterday and madame Trixie thought that the desk on it's side was the perfect place to rest her head.
She can't help herself. She needs to be right on top of us at all times - even if that means getting in the way of building furniture.

The last thing I purchased was some more cushion covers. These Mr and Mrs Minnie and Mickey Cushion Covers that were stupidly cheap and too cute to pass up.
