Phew! I am SO glad the weekend is almost here as I'm in desperate need of one - ANDDDDDDDDDDDDD it's a long weekend so girl gets three days of pure bliss!
But first, let's recap the week!
Here's what's been happening in our world recently! >>
Recent Feels: ^^^^ Just like Trixie. I have been SO tired this week so I feel like each morning I roll out of bed the same way Trixie does - bed hair like woah, sleepy eyes and not quite ready to get back into work :P
Recent Laughs: This from the Kmart catalogue. Ummm, I find that dinosaur at the back kind of terrifying - and why does the swan (is that a swan?) look so sassy?! Kids are weird.
Recent Fail: Number one, my Mum's photo (sorry Mum!) but two, on Saturday Mum and I were out grocery shopping when she stopped me and said "Kristy! How on earth do you not have your arm in your sleeve? What have you done? You're all tangled!"
I was super confused when I looked down at my arm and sure enough, I did have a sleeve looking thing flapping out of the side of my cardigan - only I did have my arm in my sleeve.
Apparently somewhere between home and the shops my cardigan started tearing from the bottom seam up to under my arm and by the time I got home I had very little cardigan left :P
And here I was wondering why my side was a little chilly :P
Recent Confusion: One day it's hot, one day it's cold - one second a storm's brewing, next second it's sunny. The weather has been all over the place this week. Poor South Australia and part of Victoria were hammered with crazy storms and power outages and meanwhile here in Sydney we got a whole lot of nothing.
Yesterday I was sure we were going to have a storm as we'd had bright red skies in the morning (sailors warning!) and then at around 2pm that storm front rolled in - only to roll righttttttttt around us.
As we live right by a river, storms tend to roll their way around us all the time - meanwhile soaking all the other suburbs in its path. Weather is weird, friends.
Recent Fun: Colouring in! Which lasted all of 0.00000001 seconds for Jesse before he called it quits, however, lasted all of two hours for me as I was busily colouring away :P
Oh and paired with hot chocolates.. though mine was a bit of a fail as I'd run out of milk for mine so Jesse got the ultra creamy one and I got the sub-par one. The things we do for the ones we love!
Recent Weekending: Saturdays seem to be my get $#!z done day as I come home from Zumba full of energy. Last Saturday I got stuck into working on our veggie patch, ordered some new hose fixings for our Hoselink hose (garden nerds right thur) so I can put a soaker hose in the veggie patch (#lazyfix) and I got Jesse to put the sunshade up on our back patio as the sun has changed and was totally ruining my photos (#priorities peeps) and then I headed to the grocery store where my cardigan disaster happened, ha!
But how cute is my little foreman?! Trixie just watched me play all the dirt, slowly turning green with envy and drooling as she imagined diving and digging through the veggie patch :P
Recently Watching: Our Wedding Video! Somehow it went a little crazy on the blog this week (and was the most clicked post for the week!) which lead me to rewatch it and share it on our Facebook page.
My sister in law, Gina, says the video always makes her cry and I have to admit it makes me pretty sappy too. I am SO SO glad we had a videographer as this is seriously one of my favourite things.
And now I want awesome videographer skills so I can make video montages of my life.. Actually no.. that would be really boring.
Sorry guisssseee, no Youtuber in the making here.
Recent Pranks: But if you do want video, you should follow us on Instagram and watch our Instagram stories.
I loveeee a good prank and Instagram stories tends to be where I share them. My Dad might have bought those mini Pokemon for a prank last week, but this girl bought 10 fake cockroaches from eBay for the ultimate pranks :P
First victim was my Mum - who kind of disappointed me because she didn't even scream. I hid one of the cockroaches in the sugar bowl, knowing when she came downstairs to make her coffee she'd find it - and all she did was look at it confused as to how it got in there and then when she realised it was plastic she knew exactly who did it.
But just you wait! I have bigger and better plans for my little cockroaches... and I'm targeting the person who WILL react. MWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!
Weekend Plans: Making my Healthy Peanut Butter Rice Crispy Treats Recipe and topping them with chocolate as Jamieanne did - and heading to the hardware store so Dad and Jesse can make me this DIY Overhead Camera Rig so I can shoot some recipe videos for my clients (and Southern In Law - hopefully!)
Recent Recipes: This week on the blog I shared two ridiculously delicious recipes that are favourites of both Jesse and I! First up is this Healthy Neopolitan Baked Oatmeal Recipe which mixes swirls of chocolate, strawberry and vanilla baked oatmeal and that was then followed by my Healthy Homemade Ramen Noodle Soup Recipe which we actually ate for dinner last night after posting ;)
But tell me, how has your week been?
What are your weekend plans?
And what are three awesome things from your week?
For me it's;
1. Running a bunch of social media training courses for clients all over Sydney
2. A bunch of delicious recipe successes
3. Knowing that a long weekend is looming! Woohoo!
