Well heeeeeeey! It's FRIDAY! And you know what that means?
It's a week to my birthday... well actually.. that's not what you were thinking.... you were thinking that THE WEEKEND IS NEAR!
And you would be thinking right, my friend! But before we jump into the weekend, let's talk about the week!
Here's what's been happening in our world recently! >>
Recent Feels: ^^^^ just like that. It's been cold and rainy and yuck and all I've wanted to do is curl up in bed and go to sleep...... EXCEPTTTTTTTTTTTT Trixie spends 80% of her day doing exactly that in my spot!
Recent Excitement: Instagram stories! AKA: I really don't need SnapChat!
First of all I had to figure out how to use Instagram Stories, but now I think I have the hang of them so if you haven't already updated your Instagram, be sure to do so - and follow us @southerninlaw so you can see our story!
I'm in the process of convincing Jesse to let me film him doing his fake Australian accent so you'll never know what you'll see on there :P
Recent Successes: I cleaned our bedroom and study from top to bottom over the weekend. And when I say top to bottom, I really mean it. The blinds came off and were washed, the windows were washed down and so were the walls and skirting boards. It was a FULL ON (not quite) spring clean and then I decided to redecorate whilst I was at it.
At the end of the weekend I had a billion bags to donate, a heap of trash bags and one spiffy looking room! Here's my favourite spot of the moment - on top of a new dresser I picked up and re-did with a quick little DIY freshen up!
Recent Arrivals: The first ever Winklebee Bee Box arrived on my doorstep in the last week and I cannot tell you how excited I was! I loveeeee supporting individual artists and Kirsten is SERIOUSLY talented.
I kind of want her to illustrate my life... and my logo.... and create a mural on every wall in my house.... and fill my home with her incredible work. Be sure to follow her on Instagram to see her daily drawings!
Recent Catch Ups: I've been reaaaaaaaaaaally behind on reading blogs this week as it's been a crazy week, however, yesterday Trixie and I caught up on blogs on my laptop (I am still in love with my E200HA!) in my big cozy red chair!
Recent Fun: My mama and I headed out to see Absolutely Fabulous the Movie on Wednesday night. Growing up we watched EVERY SINGLE EPISODE of Ab Fab and we're all huge fans. Naturally, Mum and I were so excited to see the movie!
Whilst it was a little bit of a let down, it's still a great movie and definitely something every AbFab fan will want to see (because... FOMO!).
Recent Laughs: And just in case you thought I was joking about Trixie's favourite spot, here is Trixie and Jesse fast asleep. That dog is seriously weird...And she's been sleeping on our bed lately too and making us laugh by trying to tuck herself under the covers and lay on our pillows - or by responding with weird puppy noises when we say "Good morning Trixie!" in the morning :P
