Recent Things: Trixie Videos, Pokemon Plus-Sides and Oops!

Recent Things in the Southern In Law World

Why hello there! HAPPPPYYYYYYY FRIDAY!

This week has felt like it has dragged on forever for us - but only because we've been waiting on phone calls and news and that tends to make one hour feel like one year... but luckily that's meant we've had to fill our time with lots of things so I have plenty to share with you!

Here's what's been happening in our world lately! >>

Pokemon Go Cartoon - Pokemon Go Places You'd Never Usually Go

Recent Obsessions: As I said in my Kristy's Random Ramblings post, this week has been a Pokemon kinda week.

Whilst I'm not playing, Jesse is OBSESSED and thus a lot of our week has been spent chasing Pokemon. But it's not all bad......

Jesse Playing Pokemon on Sunday at Fantastic Furniture and Church

Here you see a wild Jesse in foreign territory. Usually after church (which so happens to be a PokeStop... see picture two) Jesse wants to come home and do a grand total of nothing if we're not having lunch with our friends, however, last Sunday he even came with me to go furniture shopping!

Why? To see what Pokemon he could catch on the way.

Jesse playing Pokemon Go during the week

But it gets better... because not only is Jesse happy to go to the grocery store or the shops or wherever we're going - he even ASKED to go for a walk.... on more than one occasion.

Bushwalking through Oatley Park

I'm making the most of it whilst it lasts because it means I get views like this ^

Sunset Walk Around Oatley Park to Catch Pokemon

And sunset views like this ^

And of course a side of Pokemon addiction but hey! You can't have it all!

Best Gluten Free Wraps Australia - BFree Gluten Free Wraps Review

Recent Faves: BFree's new gluten free Quinoa and Chia Seed Wraps. I've been a fan of BFree's plain gluten free wraps for quite a while (as they're the only gluten free wrap I've found that actually wraps and doesn't taste like cardboard), however, they've recently launched two new varieties into Woolworths stores around the country - this Quinoa and Chia Seed Wrap and their Sweet Potato Wraps!

Recent Trixieness: Trixie is the queen of craziness and this week we brought out even more craziness when giving her a bath :P

You see, after washing the dogs we let them run around for a little bit to get their crazies out before drying them. Both dogs LOVE rubbing themselves all over a towel, however, Trixie goes a little bit crazier than Chanel :P

Excuse the crappy iPhone video... girl needs a DSLR that films video :P If you have any suggestions, hit me with them!

Trixie's Favourite Spot

And last week I showed you Trixie's favourite hiding spot, however, this is her second favourite spot to be..... between our legs.

She only seems to do this to either Mum or me but if she's scared or if we're in the kitchen, this is where you'll find her. It's kind of cute but also kind of frustrating as it means I'm constantly telling her to get out of the kitchen and out from under my feet!

And Emma, if you're reading this I only had socks off for 0.000001 seconds, promise! ;)

Healthy Lunch Inspiration

Recent Food LoveALLLLLLLLLLL the chickpeas.... and beans... and legumes in general. Can't stop won't stop.

Naked Locals Soup Range Australia

Recent OopsI posted this photo of a Naked Locals soup pack we received before I realised they weren't actually gluten free! As I know a lot of you out there buy the products we share/mention take note! Coeliacs beware! :P

Luckily I double checked the packet before eating one of the soups yesterday and noticed the may contain statement. BUH BOWWWWWWWWWWW!

Luckily all the veggies in the box were gluten free so I happily ate them instead ;)

Megan Spreading the PB Love

Recent SurprisesI got an email yesterday from Pic's Peanut Butter to let me know that the lovely Megan had nominated me for their pay it forward campaign and I had one a free jar of their PB! Funnily enough, I had also nominated Megan without knowing she'd nominated me! :P

Recent Instagramming: As always, we're sharing our daily eats and adventures on Instagram so I won't bore you by sharing them all again here! Be sure to follow us @southerninlaw to find out what we're eating, loving, doing and what goes on behind the blog!

Easy Grain Free Crackers Recipe - gluten free, vegan, grain free, low carb, dairy free, egg free, clean eating recipe Marbled Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter Baked Oatmeal Recipe - low fat, gluten free, healthy, vegan, clean eating recipe, healthy breakfast recipes, freezer friendly, make ahead breakfast

Recent Posts: This week on the blog I shared my current favourite breakfast recipe; our Healthy Marbled Chocolate and Peanut Butter Baked Oatmeal Recipe (it's also vegan!) and then I shared another recent fave; Our Easy Homemade Paleo Seeded Crackers Recipe (which is vegan too!).

And of course, on Wednesday I shared another edition of my Kristy's Random Ramblings with plenty of my silly sketches/cartoons for you!

But tell me, how has your week been?
Are you addicted to Pokemon Go?
And what's the last thing you bought?
Online I bought a set of frying pans but in store? It was a really boring purchase of a receipt wallet for next year's taxes (that's me adulting right there - I realised last year I needed to organise my tax expenses as they happened so I wasn't drowning in a puddle of receipts and it actually worked!).
Also, what would YOU like to see us sharing on social media?
