Recent Things: New Glasses, Snack Addictions & Clutter!

Why hello, loves! My two weeks of not-so-hectic-ness are over and we're now back to our normal crazy ridiculous schedule as school is back for the term. Today is absolutely miserable in Sydney, however, so I'm definitely glad I have a full day of work in the office ahead of me and I don't have to go outside into the rain until we have Ignite tonight :P

But let me tell you what we've been up to lately, shall I? >>

Recent Must Have: Coffee, tea, any hot beverage at any time. I am constantly snuggling up to either a heat pack or a warm cup of something (even if it's just hot water!). Ice water is certainly not happening until Spring.

Recent Purchases: New glasses! I am obsessed with Firmoo. Not only do their glasses look great, daily new frames are added to the collection and they even have a 15% off page where you can get glasses even cheaper!

The glasses I just got are these ones in full tortoise frames which were made up to my prescription, however, they are so much better than my other glasses as they're so clear with their anti-reflection and anti-UV coatings.  Next I'm thinking I need to get some sunglasses (perhaps these ones) so I can actually read street signs haha

Recent Reminder: From Hope 103.2! Thankfulness  really is so important - and practicing it every day really does change your life for the better!

Recent Snack Obsession: Creamy cottage cheese with diced apple, cinnamon and peanut butter. Helllloooo heaven! I think I've eaten it at least once a day this entire week after a random craving!

Recent Product Deliveries: We're lucky enough to receive lots of random deliveries of new products to our offices, however, here are just a couple that we have been loving this week!

  • Slim Secret's new Protein Puds - I am OBSESSED with these! Where can a girl find a lifetime supply? I've had heaps of meetings lately so I've been stashing them in my purse for a quick on the go snack - and they're perfect because there's a spoon neatly tucked away inside! They each contain around 10 grams of protein without any protein powders or soy! They come in Salted Caramel, Choc Coconut and Strawberry Flavours.
  • Be Natural's New Snacks - Be Natural just launched two new snack lines which include; Thai Sweet Chilli Roasted Fava Beans (gluten free & nut free), Moroccan Spice Roasted Chickpeas (Gluten Free & Nut Free), Mini Dark Chocolate Berry Bites (unfortunately not GF) and Dark Choc, Sultana, Dates, Almonds & Peanut Bites (unfortunately not GF). Jesse and Dad did the taste testing on these ones - as well as a couple of our friends - as I can't eat them due to being coeliac/having multiple intolerances but they definitely all got a thumbs up! The Mini Bites were definitely a crowd fave though
  • Hansell's All Natural Soup Range - Whilst I love making soups from scratch, I don't always have the time or forethought and sometimes you just need a quick and easy option. Luckily the All Natural range doesn't compromise on nutrition and many of them are GF so they're a great choice! Our faves? Miso, Chicken & Sweet Corn and the Tortilla Soup.
  • Impressed Juices by Rachael Finch - Sold nationally at Woolworths, these juices are so delicious and packed with nutrients. I've only been able to try the Ginger Ninja (which is amazing!) but the rest of the family have given the Summer Greens & The Works the thumbs up (and they're not  usually green juice fans!).

Recent Health: With our little break I had been feeling so much better - until I overdid it a little as my schedule started to get packed once again. We've still got two or so months to wait until my iron infusion so things are getting quite tough and we're starting to think about the things we are currently doing that we perhaps need to reconsider for next year as I'm too often sacrificing my health. I love being busy but my body is actually human (surprise!!!!) and can't cope with doing three thousand and one things in a week and no rest time.

Recent Work: I've been working away on a bunch of web content and magazine articles for KISS Freelance this week and my desk is looking all sorts of crazy. There's papers and printed pieces and scribbles EVERYWHERE but now that I'm finishing off all of the projects today it should be clear to start a fresh week of work next week!

But tell me, how has your week been?
How do you make sure you fit in some you time in your life?
And what's one awesome thing that happened this week?

  1. I'm still all about hot hot coffee and hot tea! But I'm also loving my cold brew tea bags for an "iced tea" ;)

The green juice does sound good though, might have to try when the weather is a bit warmer.
