Frustrated: Part 2 of the Visa Process

Hi my loves, I had all the intention in the world to post a delicious recipe today - but my brain has other ideas. We're just starting the second stage of our visa process (lovely honeymoon present, right?!) and it has my poor brain wanting to implode right here and now.

We're back to writing proof of relationship statements, spending hours having everything signed and witness, basically proving ourself to the government in every way shape and form - everything from our relationship to our finances to our home will be investigated once again.

But I can't complain - this visa process has gotten me my husband. It's allowed us to be married and even though it's an incredibly expensive, stressful, painful and frustrating process, it will be worth it in the end.

So bear with me, the recipe is coming tomorrow - we're just feeling very overwhelmed right now with wedding bills coming in, visa papers strewn everywhere and last minute honeymoon plans to sort out.

However, today's question is: Chocolate Cake or Apple Almond Cake - which recipe do you want first?!
And tell me, what's your frustration fix?

  4. Hang in there. This, too, shall pass and leave you with a FUNNY story to tell.
While I'm sure your recipe is WONDERFUL, I already have a bunch of Chocolate Cake recipes. I vote for the Apple Almond Cake recipe.

  5. I vote Apple Almond Cake, as it's fall here in NY : ) To answer your second question, my frustration fix a manicure! I just love fresh polish on my fingers. It makes me feel so girly and pretty and relaxes me. I'm in an instant good mood after, try it : ) Also, thanks for the suggestion about the Aveeno tinted moisturizer. I bought it last night (well, the tinted corrector) and it is AMAZING! I'm halfway through the work day and my face is not oily (as it usually does get by the afternoon), I felt coverage with it without piling on makeup and it smelt great. Keep those beauty posts coming : )

  6. Oh dear! I hope everything gets settled soon, sweetie! I can only imagine how frustrating all of that is! Whenever life get's to be a bit much for me, I just turn everything off (computer, phone, brain) and head outside for a walk and some fresh air. I love to take my camera with me this time of year too and just get lost behind the lens!

I'm actually starting to grow fond of chocolate these days (never been a big fan before), but almond anything has always been at the TOP of my list! Apple Almond Cake for sure! :)

    1. Thank you, lovely! Hopefully it will all fall together - we thought it'd be super easy having already done one visa, but now they want even more information. We even have to prove that we're a "socially accepted couple" and Jesse thinks we definitely can't do that because I'm way too weird haha

I love a good photo excursion - I always wander around our house and through the park looking for pretty things to capture!

I think the apple almond cake is definitely a winner - I was like you and not much of a chocolate fan when it came to cake (I actually didn't like cake at all) but now I'm an addict haha
