I may be the only one...

Source
Who rolls over in the middle of the night, looks at the alarm clock and thinks Ughh, I still have x hours until I can get up.

This is usually what happens for me at night.
- Wake up, look at clock
- 12:05 - "Ugh, 6 hours left to sleep"
- Fall Back Asleep
- 3:45 - "Ugh, 2 hours 15 minutes left to sleep"
- Go and get a glass of water and walk around
- Fall Back Asleep
- 5:25 - "I can almost get up... maybe I'll just lay here.."
- 5:55 - "Come onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn"
- 6:00 - Nelly time!

Jesse is the total opposite - if he wakes up and he sees it's 12:05 he thinks "Awesome! I have 6 hours left to sleep" whilst I'm always thinking "Oh no... 6 hours until I can wake up". I am totally not a good sleeper - I toss and turn and wake up a million times a night and the second the clock ticks over to 6am, I'm up and outta there. Why do I wait until 6am? Because I don't want to wake Chanel up too early :P

Jesse could sleep all day - but I'd much rather be doing things than sleeping. You'd think it'd be the opposite as I have chronic fatigue syndrome and glandular fever, but I think I just get tired of sleeping (pardon the pun) and waking up and still feeling tired.

At the moment, the other problem is that lying in bed so long makes my legs ache because I'm constantly walking around/doing things during the day.

But tell me, are you a good sleeper or like me?
Do you tend to look at the alarm clock and think about how long you have left to snooze - or how long until you have to wake up?

  1. You are just like me! I hate sleeping. I have no problem falling asleep (always between 9:00 and 9:30pm) but My body always wakes me up around 1am, and then my final wake-up around 4:00 or 4:30am. Sleep is not my friend!

    1. Well it's too bad we don't live closer - we'd be the perfect sleepover guests! Haha!

I always go to bed between 9pm and 10:30pm because I'm exhausted but never sleep through the night.

  2. Whoa, this is exactly what happened to me last night (and every night before that for as long as I can remember!). I have done a lot of research to determine the cause, and have not come up with a solution. Relaxing techniques and being overtired are the only things that make a difference, but never to the point of a full nights rest. My husband is EXACTLY like Jesse, wish I could sleep like that!!

    1. I'm glad I'm not the only one - but sad because you're suffering the same! I agree - relaxing techniques do make somewhat of a difference, but only for so long!

  3. I wish I had this problem! I am like Jesse, I could sleep ALL day if it were up to me! I tend to set my alarm 20-25 minutes before I have to get up bc I hit the snooze button a few times before I finally talk myself into getting up! haha
