Homemade Dog Treats Recipe

Healthy Homemade Dog Treats - Oatmeal Peanut Butter

It's no secret that I absolutely, positively adore my dog. Forgive me for being biased, but Chanel is the sweetest most lovable pup in the world.

It's only natural that I like to spoil her. My pooch is a peanut butter lover just like her Mama, so when I decided to make her some dog treats - I knew they had to be an ingredient.

And the dog treats were a huge hit, I mean... just look at the photos below....

I think it's safe to say that this recipe is.....

Chanel Paige - Healthy Homemade Dog Treats - Peanut Butter Oatmeal

CHANEL APPROVED!
and if Chanel likes it, I can guarantee your four legged friend will too as she is incredibly fussy.

Best of all, these dog treats are super easy (and human friendly too if you really feel like chowing down on them ;P - I'd suggest making a few adaptions though for taste purposes)

Let's get on to the recipe, shall we?

How to Make Homemade Treats for your Dog - Peanut Butter Oatmeal

Homemade Peanut Butter Dog Treats
for your favourite four legged friend
1 cup oat flour, made by grinding oats into flour
1/2 cup whole rolled oats
2 tbsp peanut butter
2/3 cup boiling water

Preheat oven to 180°C/355°F
Combine oats and flour
Mix in the peanut butter and boiling water. If the dough is too sticky, add more flour or if the dough won't come together, add more water
Knead the dough and roll out onto a floured board to 1/4" thickness
Cut dough into shapes and place onto baking sheets lined with baking paper
Bake for around 40 minutes or until the edges have browned
Leave the dog treats to cool before giving them to your pup

Tell me, what's the last thing you ate that was lick-your-lips good?

    1. It really depends on how big you make them - I think, from memory, we made about 24 small cookies for our pup.
