Saturday Spotlight: Chobani Greek Yogurt

Chobani Yogurt Review

This week's Saturday Spotlight is on one of my favourite companies, Chobani! I was so excited that Chobani was in Australia that I raced to Woolworths the second I found out they were available. We were on holidays in Rose Bay and I even managed to snatch up some Vanilla Chobani (clearly the work of God as it's not one of their current flavours) and I fell in love!

Chobani finds it's way into my shopping trolley every week and it was the first thing I went searching for in Louisiana - and subsequently the first thing I ate!

It's one of my favourite snacks and since I can only eat the plain kind, I make my own flavours! Currently I'm loving applesauce and cinnamon in a cup of plain cho and some of my all time favourite add ins are dates and almond butter or banana, vanilla and peanut flour - the possibilities are endless!

I love that it's thick and creamy - so thick infact, it passes the "spoon test". That is, when it's so thick that it will stick to your spoon and not fall off straight away when you hold it upside down. Now that is some good yogurt!

Chobani is also my favourite base for overnight oats and yogurt bowls. Overnight oats are one of my favourite busy morning breakfasts because all I have to do in the morning is throw on some toppings, grab a spoon and I'm good to go.

Chobani Yogurt Ingredients

The best thing? Chobani is made from natural ingredients - just check out the ingredients list of the plain yogurt! Plus each cup contains around 13-16g of protein.

But I warn you... it's so good it's addicting.

Now that I've confessed my love of plain cho (watch out, Jesse!) let's get onto the flavours... These are loved by my family so the opinions come straight from them!

Pineapple Chobani - this yogurt has real chunks of pineapple at the bottom of the cup. It's the perfect balance of sweet and tart pineapple with the greek yogurt and super creamy.

Blueberry Chobani - while I can eat blueberries, I can't eat lemon, so this one was off the cards for me - and boy wasn't I jealous! This one was my dad's favourites with a blueberry puree at the bottom which when stirred through, flavoured the whole yogurt.

Mango Chobani - this cup was creamy and full of flavour. My dad and sister are mango lovers (as I was too) and this got a massive thumbs up. The amount of mango flavour is just right - not too much and not too little.

The plain Chobani also comes in big 907g plain tubs in both 0% and 2%. These big tubs are perfect for baking and people like me who eat chobani at least once a day. In fact, I used this big tub for just that - baking!

I came up with two delicious recipes - the left I shall be sharing with you tomorrow and the right sometime next week! (if you follow me on Instagram, you'd already know!)

Flavoured Chobani Yogurt

So what are you waiting for? Go out and grab some Chobani! If you're in Australia, you can find it with all the other (less amazing) yogurts in Woolworths and if you're in the US you can find them in pretty much every grocery store - at least I did!

I'm a Chobani addict. I think it'd be fair to say one of my dream jobs would be to be on the Chobani team or to be a professional Chobani eater - heaaaaaven.

So tell me, are you a yogurt fan?
What's your favourite kind?

I'm a plain yogurt fan because it means I can add whatever I feel like at the time!

This is a sponsored post, however, all of the opinions expressed in this post are the opinions of a true Chobani addict.

  1. I tried the pineapple one at the good food and wine show and really liked it. But the passionfruit one was weird and didn't like that one.

I don't really eat yoghurt... perhaps I should eat more!

    1. Oh that's a shame about the passionfruit! I've always found passionfruit can be a hit or a miss in anything!
