Friday Favourites: 06 July 2012

Friday again! This week has been quite eventful for me, I've been busy writing for HubPages and other freelance writing jobs, I've been to the doctor on Wednesday and yesterday I had a date with Edward Cullen. No, not really I'm not an Edward Cullen fan anyhow! What I mean by that is that I had a blood test.

I may as well have had a date with a vampire since they took seven vials of my blood and I don't know how I have any blood left! But thankfully I didn't pass out this time, so it wasn't too bad - especially considering I'm terrified of needles and blood, I must be getting used to them.

This week I've found some pretty cool links across the world wide web and of course I have to share them with you all! So here it goessss..

Favourite Photo Ideas:
This photo series by Michael Hughes is such a smart idea! He said, about his series, "I used to be a souvenir snob and I’d only buy the most expensive ornaments. Now I’ve turned that on its head by using cheap ones and doing this childish idea of putting them in the picture" It's a fun way to switch up your travel photos!

Favourite DIY Crafts for Nannying:
I don't know a kid who doesn't love playing with dough - playdoh, cookie dough, pizza dough, salt dough etc. I remember making salt dough as a kid, but haven't made it anytime recently. This salt dough would be a perfect rainy day craft for nannying when we're stuck inside and going stir crazy! Plus, you get two days worth of activities in one - once it dries you can paint it! Otherwise you can pop it into the oven and paint it later in the day - a perfect craft for between nap times!

Dream Vacation Spot:
If Jesse and I won the lottery, I'd be suggesting to rent this Sanctuary in the Foothills of the Himalayas as our next vacation spot. Actually, scrap that, I think I'd move there in a heart beat! Everything about it is so lush, from the bedrooms to the pools to the gardens and architecture. For now, I think Jesse and I will be embracing the stay-cation - but a girl can dream!

Childhood Favourite Craft:
When I was younger I used to love doing "invisible art" and this post reminded me of how easy it is! It's definitely something I need to remember as a craft for nannying! I think it could also make some awesome artwork, too!

Favourite WTF? Photo:
At first, I didn't see what was wrong with this photo - and you mightn't too. Just keep looking...
Still haven't got it? Take a look under the mum's leg! WHY?! The more you look at it, the creepier it gets!

Favourite That Could've Been Bad Moment:
This week I was proof reading an article only to find this spelling mistake. When writing an article on how to strengthen and maintain a long distance relationship, it might not be very successful when you tell someone to find alternative ways to bond that $#!+ you and your partner. Thank goodness I proof read!

Favourite puppy love:
I am a dog person and Jesse is convinced we need a kitten. He loves Chanel (and she adores him) but having grown up with a cat, he thinks we need one. I had an evil cat when I was really little and I'm not too fussed by cats, so I've made it my mission to prove dogs are so much cuter! :P Plus, Nelly may as well be a cat - she acts like one some times!

Would anyone like me to post the recipe?!

So tell me, how has your week been? anything exciting?!
and what was your favourite web find this week?
