I cannot wait to show you all of our wedding photos and tell you about every single little detail - but we just have to wait for those photos.
What I did want to tell you, is how I felt about our big day. I know every Bride says that it was the best day of their life - but our wedding really was perfect. Completely and utterly perfect.
It didn't matter that we didn't run exactly to schedule - it didn't matter that there were a couple of mishaps - we were even so happy that we didn't get upset or angry when the Skype video connection for Jesse's family didn't work, because at least they were able to hear it.
Our wedding day was filled with love - there wasn't a single person in the room that Jesse and I didn't love and everyone did everything they could to make our day perfect. From the dozens of family and friends who helped to set up the reception and scrutinised every detail to ensure it was perfect, to those whose smiles beamed at me as I walked down the aisle to my beautiful Issy running down the aisle and grabbing my hand because she had to tell me right that second I looked beautiful. Needless to say, everyone's heart melted at that point and I sure hope someone got a photo of that or recorded it on video.
I don't want to forget a single second of the day -
waking up and realising it was the big day,
the perfect weather,
the atmosphere in the house whilst getting ready,
my complete and utter lack of nerves and the calm, blissful feeling I felt,
the pounding of my heart as the church doors opened,
my Dad walking me down the aisle,
the salute to Dad and I from one of our dearest family friends (and Dad's best man!),
the moment Issy grabbed my hand at the altar and her little face shone with love,
the huge smile on Father James's face as he announced us as husband and wife,
the shaking of Katrina's hands as she held her bouquet,
the joy in Jesse's Mom's voice as we called them leaving the church,
the laughter that filled the reception room,
the first taste of our incredible wedding cake,
being able to eat anything I wanted without fear of getting sick,
the incredible food,
the sunset on the rooftop,
our incredible wedding team who have become incredible friends,
the hugs,
the kisses,
the photo bombs,
the love.
Our day was perfect and there wasn't a thing I'd go back and change.
Jesse and I are so incredibly blessed - we have a close knit group of family and friends who truly love us. That love shone through on their faces, poured out with their tears and was felt with every hug, kiss and cheer.
We are so loved and our hearts are filled with love. I'm now Kristy Sayer-Jones and I couldn't be happier.
And to you, dear reader, thank you for your love, your support, your comments, your messages, your emails - your support fills our heart with joy every single day. From the readers who celebrated in countries all over the world with champagne or took the time to send me a lovely email, thank you. We have created our own little SIL family and we're so glad you're apart of it!
