At the moment, my favourite snacks are Raw Bites (for when I'm on-the-go) and smoothies (when I'm working at my desk) they're quick to make and super delicious! Whilst the Blueberry Banana Smoothie was previously my favourite - a new smoothie has taken over. It's super thick, creamy and oh so delicious - not to mention healthy!
This smoothie was actually made on one of those very busy days, where I quickly blended it up in my magic bullet in between emails and phone calls, quickly took some pictures and drank it whilst punching out a press release for a client.
Today I was at a press showing where I was shown the new Kambrook Blitz2Go which looks absolutely amazing - and will make smoothie making even quicker as you blend them right in the bottle and all you have to do is screw the lid on and go off on your merry way. It will be available in September with stockists to be announced!
Perfect for Fit Foodies and very very cool!
Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie serves 1
low fat, gluten free, healthy, vegan, dairy free
1C unsweetened almond breeze or milk of choice
1/2 large banana, fresh or frozen (a frozen banana will make a thicker smoothie)
1-2 tbsp peanut butter or peanut flour*
Add all of your ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
You may need to mix the peanut butter/flour around as it tends to stick to the outside - but it should come together easily.
Pour into a glass or enjoy straight from the blender, lazy girl style ;)
*When I'm making a smoothie just for a snack, I tend to use peanut flour (which I also find makes it thicker and more peanutty) but if you're looking for a more meal-type smoothie, use peanut butter!
But tell me, what's your favourite quick and healthy snack?

I just tried putting Peanut Flour in my smoothie this weekend (it was a blueberry chocolate smoothie + the peanut flour) and it was so good!
ReplyDeleteYummm! Peanut flour is the best - and I actually make a similar combination and it is divine! Xx
